A Weekend Faith & Horsemanship Experience for Women
For women and their horses.
The Wholehearted Retreat is a weekend for women who love Jesus (or who want to), love horses, and would like a little time away from the noise of everyday life to reconnect with God, with their horse, and with other women.
We’ll spend the weekend learning, riding, laughing, worshiping, and enjoying our horses together.

Faith and horses have a lot common.
So much of our relationship with our horse comes down to learning to listen, trust, communicate clearly, and then act.
Our relationship with God isn’t all that different.
Throughout the weekend, we’ll explore three simple ideas:
KNOW
Know Jesus & who you are in Him.
Move more confidently through life when you are sure of who God is or who we are.
We’ll spend time in Scripture, conversation and reflection, getting grounded in who we are.
HEAR
Tune in to the Holy Spirit.
Listen. The Holy Spirit is our advocate.
ACT
What is your next step?
Sometimes, we just need to say “Yes” to God.
What to expect
THE SETTING
We will be in a beautiful valley in the loess hills. In the valley you will find a pasture, large arena, and a stage. This is where we will spend a quiet weekend.
There is plenty of room to park your trailer and set up camp. You are welcome to tie to your trailer or bring a portable pen. There is a limited number of pens available for a fee. Feel free to bring a generator or dry camp. Water for your horse is available.
ACTIVITIES
Our time will be a mix of instruction, worship, relaxing, and horse activities.
We’ll use groundwork, trail obstacles and group activities to create more confidence and clarity between you and your horse.
THE RESULT
My hope is that when you load your horse into the trailer at the end of the weekend, you don’t just go home knowing how to do another obstacle, although that would be awesome.
I want you to leave:
Closer to Jesus.
More confident in who you are in Him.
More comfortable recognizing His voice and direction.
More willing to take the next step when He asks.
And I want you to leave with a horse who trusts you a little more.

CAMPING
